Matters arising from last meeting

Confirmed.

Financials

We are at about +$13,000.

Martin would like to know the per-player cost of various leagues (indoors vs. outdoors, A grade vs B grade vs C grade, etc.). Liz and Steve to do analysis.

Martin is concerned about the lack of detailed financial reporting. He feels me may be failing our legal obligations.

Business / Correspondence

Information pouches

Martin has supplied zip-lock pouches to leagues in order to improve scoresheet hand-back (because captains have to hand back pouches) and to improve communication to players. Successful in terms of getting scoresheets back; mixed success in terms of getting information to players.

Martin paid approximately $75 for the full set; WDS votes to reimburse him for the cost (Martin to supply exact amount).

Martin thinks it would work better if captains give fliers out after games. Nick to mention?

Monday Training

First night had about 10 people. Nick would have liked more. Maybe not everyone knew about it? Liz to design flier, pass it to Tanya, for Tuesday night.

Tanya to call Nick to confirm.

Sports forum

Tanya will represent us. Martin will also go, but wearing his VUWFDC hat.

AGM Preparation

AGM scheduled for Thursday 15th of March (last night of A grade), at Bar Edward, starting 8.30pm. Tanya to organise $2 off drinks and discounted bar snacks. John to send out email.

Positions to be filled: Everyone to send Tanya descriptions of what they have done over the year.

Need to find people to go on the exec, as some members will be resigning. Exec members to scout potential talent.

Discs

Simon has 115–120 discs left to sell, out of 300 purchased at the beginning of 2006. Simon to look into tracking how much money we took in from the discs we sold.

End-of-season tournament

Do we want to run a tournament Sunday March 25th? Martin to call for volunteers; if no one volunteers, the exec will not run a tournament.

Tour event

We should advertise the tour event to social players, in case they want to come along and watch.
