- Gutbuster frisbee
The Meridian Energy Gutbuster is a run to the Wind Turbine and back on the morning of March 4th (Sunday). Meridian have asked Martin to provide frisbee entertainment for an hour late morning. Same weekend as the Christchurch tour. Martin is busy too. Maybe disc golf / putting competition? Nick to talk to Rene/Brony, John to talk to golfers.
- Pelorus Stadium school sports day
Westpac Trust sports day for primary school kids — same as previous years. Last year WDS paid VUWFDC $200 to run ultimate at this. Good for "brand recognition". Exec votes (Martin abstains) to ask VUWFDC to do this again for the same cost. If they can't do it, we won't do this this year.
- Hutt Holiday Programme
HCC want two coaches this Friday. They will pay $15/person/hour. Martin will do it; look for a second person. Exec happy for Martin to do this.
- WCC compensation for lost days
Claire Lundon has offered to give us our 9th field free. Tanya to talk to Steve, crunch numbers to see if this has happened.
- Gaming trust double-dipping
Trust House rejected our application because we were "double-dipping" by applying to multiple trusts. Martin atlked to trusts and they say this is bogus. Martin suggests we renew our quotes and reapply. Beth to ask for volunteer to do this.
- Oriental Beach
Groove FM to supply music thanks to Kate. Same format as last year. Martin to do stuff.
- Monday coaching
VUWFDC does coaching on Monday nights at Boyd-Wilson but they need coaches. Marc to help design coaching programme. WDS willing to contribute to costs; Nick to get quote from VUWSA (?) for field hire. Nick to email potential coaches to build a roster.
- Virus discount
Virus' prize for winning B grade was a $100 discount on A grade entry, but they don't want to go to A grade. Beth moves $25 to Virus off B grade entry as compensation. Exec agrees.
- A grade
A grade will have five teams, with one bye each week.
- Beach tournaments
Beach tournament somewher ein NZ on three weekends in February. Martin suggests February could be beach ultimate month in future. Coaching/demo games/MTAs etc at lunch time for Otaki tournament.
