Matters arising from last meeting
- Outdoor league job description: Dave hasn't done it. Will get right on it. Dave/Leanne/Martin to finalise by next meeting, so we can just sign it off.
- DVD library: Hilary researched CFFC's DVD library, provided a list. Brett thinks we have some of these already. Steve to inventory what we have now. Dave thinks stay away from College ultimate (poor spirit).
- Newsletter from last time — not done. Aim to get a newsletter out by October.
- Jackets — haven't made the screenprint yet. Dave to chase up Sean Lincoln to track down the logo, to make screen. Martin is allowed to give them away regardless of whether they have been screened or not.
- Budget — still waiting on budget from Steve.
- School Holiday programs — nothing done. Leanne to talk to Shane about following this up.
- OSH stuff — Martin to follow this up with Jonathan Aumonier-Ward.
- Goaltimate — Dave has partially put together a kit.
- Travel fund — still undecided about this. Strict criteria needed. Leanne to follow up?
General business
Hilary & Steve to inventory everything by next meeting.
The big leagues debate
- Venue
We consider several options — Rongotai, Onslow, Martin-Luckie.
Exec votes: Martin-Luckie. Unanimous.
- Paint?
- Question: Do we want the council to paint field markings for us? — Martin to get quote for paint vs no-paint.
- Night?
- Exec votes: Social on Tuesday (pref), or Wednesday, or Monday (least pref). Unanimous.
- A grade
Do we want to run A grade run as a draft system? Exec is unanimously in favour; Adrian get feedback from captains to make a final decision next meeting.
League coordinator to coordinate; could include delegating the draft organisation to someone else.
- Draft — uniforms

Thought: WDS buys uniforms; give to teams for the league (or permanently?) This could help create a team identity, and also make the sport look more professional. Get funding from pub charity, etc. Exec members to investigate uniforms for later discussion. Number to buy: 20/team * 6 teams. Award uniform points for teams all in uniform. Get coloured bags to hold shirts. If we don't get full sponsorship, could spend WDS funds on shirts (since we have money and it is an investment in looking professional). Leanne to apply for sponsorship, once Steve gets back. Shirts with numbers on sleeves, WDS logo on front, "Wellington Disc Sports" on back. Leanne and Martin to investigate options, get quotes.
- Men's/women's or mixed?
Exec doubts whether we have the numbers for split gender as well as mixed. Suggest making the leagues mixed and running men's/women's monthly, either on Sunday, or on another night (say, Monday).
In light of recent (post-meeting) developments, this may be revisited.
